When coming up with a title for my blog I had a lot to consider.
Who am I? What do I want to say? Who is my audience?
So I searched different words on Google. TrendyFitMomma. Naw. Not really fitting to me. I like to be different and quirky. Yet I like to remain on the "main stream".
B for Babes-
I have two beautiful little "babes". Two girls. The big one is our little princess. Since she was first she will always be our "princess". Her little sister is an angel and a ray of sunshine all wrapped into one. She is our "baby doll". They are amazing and I count my lucky stars everyday that I am blessed with two amazing healthy loving children.
B for Brains-
I, like to, consider myself "smart" maybe not in the conventional book sense of the term. "Street smart" nope not me really. Growing up in the burbs in Canada never really got me "street cred". Perhaps "Socially smart" I love to be social. Studied a bit of anthropology in University. I loved that there was a way to study being social - how right on was that? Throughout the years I have travelled A LOT and really I believe the only way to be truly smart is to LIVE! Get out there and DO SOMETHING!
B for BUFF-
Love this word. Buff! Can mean strong and muscular or "in the buff" NaKedNess! Whooo whoo. I, unfortunately for some, am not a exhibitionist, BUT (haha no pun intended) I LOVE TO WORKOUT! I have been active for most of my life so it is not strange that I love to move. Especially DANCE! I started at age 3 and I fed my addiction all the way through University - where finally I managed to get Sick of it. Yes - tired of it. I mean audition after audition - one let down after the other - rehearsing, class like 30 hours a week. How much can a 22 year old take? So that was it - I up and QUIT! Yes after 19 years - just quit. Joined a cruise ship to work and travel without having to pay any pesky expenses such as food and board. -BBBB --Brains - SMART right!? Right! (best thing I ever done! found myself and my hubby)
After a six year love affair with the open sea -- I headed for land again. Hmmm....what do I want to be now? Don't know? Teacher? Dance Teacher? Administrator? Anthropologist? Travel Writer? --so my first thought, with no job, I need a gym membership. Walked into the gym to buy a membership - walked out with a job!! Yes! Got offered a job ON THE SPOT! No experience necessary. Anyone who loves to move and exercise can sell membership? Right? Right? YES! That's how it all started. And I was Damn good at it! Was 2nd in my region for 3 months about a month after I started. Needless to say. I needed a challenge.
I met my BFF, Emma, she was a Personal Trainer and had just been hired on as the new PT Manager. She inspired and encouraged me to get my PT certification then --I did! And it changed my life forever.....TO BE CONTINUED TO MY MISSING B.....BALANCE!
