Is it a Bird? Is it a Plane? No it's SUPERMOMMA!

Are there ever days you feel like SuperMom? Or SuperWife? Well they actually DO go hand in hand. If you are a "homemaker" (I prefer to be called "domestic Goddess" but it hasn't caught on around here yet - perhaps if I made some wardrobe adjustments ahhemm...maybe not) Some days I'm all like, "Today is going to be a great day - I have my agenda layed out, feedings, laundry, vacuuming, playtime outside etc... but most of those days all falls apart and I am lucky if I get 10% of what I had planned done. Not by any fault of my own but having two girls and not knowing when one may have a meltdown not everything goes quite as planned.
Today for example, I had a SuperMomma day!! Yippee! But it didn't start out that way. I had woke up this morning with a terrible sinus headache and congestion and frankly I just wanted to crawl under the blankets and whither away. I was forced to get up since the hubby is away. This was an unbelievable challenge and at this point writing about it I cannot even remember the first few hours of the day. Suddenly, it was lunch. I made something hardy so my (almost) 5 year old would be able to go outside and play in the sunny snowy weather for a few hours. Mission accomplished. Got her out the door - as happy as can be - fed my baby girl. Popped her in the stroller and headed out for a bit. It was wonderful. Even if I was still feeling poopi it was nice to get some sun and talk to the nice neighbors. Baby girl didn't want to fall asleep so I came in with her and she nodded off. I did a few small tasks that had been waiting and also nodded off probably for only about 5 minutes or so (so refreshing) when I heard my big girl come in the door. (quick side note: very very nice to live in such a safe neighborhood - Canadian peoples you have NO IDEA- Sweden is amazing and I have pretty amazing neighbors) She came in HUNGRY! Cooked up some food -- HAPPY GIRL!
HAPPY BABY wakes up. Time to vacuum. Yes I actually had energy to vacuum with a sinus infection. House looks great!! I feel great! Bedtime went off with out a hitch! Three bedtime stories, clean teeth and a good pee and she was out like a light. Baby took her bottle and was also out! Guess what time it is? Are you kidding with me ? Only 8pm!! SUPERMOMMA!!
Would be so sweet if it was always this flawless but it's not so I will revel in this moment of peace and serenity and clean house on a Sunday evening.
Very happy to have the life that I have even if we are mere mortals.
Early kisses for Valentines Day tomorrow! friends! Stay away from the refined sugar of candies and stick to that lovely dark heart healthy chocolate.
This Momma is heading for a well deserved bubble bath . V-day present for me, myself and I.
